Narcolepsy Masterclass and Days in Berlin 2021

This year the EU-NN organized the 12th Narcolepsy Masterclass and 17th Narcolepsy Days, due to corona again this year in hybrid form in Berlin.

The EU-NN board, the local organizers (Dr. C. Veauthier and dr. U. Kalweit), the speakers and numerous clinicans, researchers and patients were physically present in Berlin, while other participants followed the livestream. Of note, the newly established European patient society for CNS Hypersomnolence Disorders presented itself: eNAP (European Narcolepsy Association of Patients). The eNAP board organized an ‘inverse’ Q&A during which clinicians and researchers could ask questions to patients. Furthemore, the winner of this years EU-NN Honorary Award, Roger Broughton, gave an emotional and powerful lecture.

The event was under the patronage of the European Academy of Neurology (EAN), the European Sleep Research Society (ESRS), the Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Neurologie (DGN) and Swiss Society for Sleep Research, Medicine and Chronobiology. Sponsors were Bioprojet, AOP Orphan, Jazz Pharmaceuticals and UCB Europe.
